in a futile attempt || xenon's art thread
putting this out here because i keep forgetting, currently just putting up old art since my digital stuff isn't working very well and traditional's kind of a pain to post. those of you on the ggad wiki have likely seen these before.

these are gonna be ginormous,,,sorry abt that. i don't know how to compress them, but you can right click and open the image in a new tab and it should be normal sized. i've exposed myself as someone who uses exclusively large digital canvas sizes though haha
anyway: oc named doe, from october?? 2019. had to be october bc i did an actual painting of this in decemberish what i might post if i can get good lighting
a ggad oc! her name is kae and she's one of my many gay bird shapeshifters. circa dec 2019
an unfinished comic-panel style thing i did for an ongoing ggad plot. was this february? i don't remember. it was 2020 tho 
a sketchbook spread from early quarantine, april maybe? feat. doodles and my wood mannequin-poser things
some doodles on my art history notes while listening to a lecture. april or may 2020
my dnd character! i'm in a ravnica campaign rn - his name is altair and he's an izzet sorcerer and he accidentally killed a guy who mugged him once. this is from june right as my tablet started acting up

If you don't mind a suggestion for getting different image sizes, you could try using Postimage.

usually, you need to memorise 250 works of art [name, artist, culture or movement, year, medium] and then there's multiple choice and several essays in a 3hr exam
this year though there was a long essay and a short essay, and i think there were only 175?? works covered? my teacher went a little out of order so i learned some of the stuff that wasn't on the exam so i think i learned closer to 220
gonna go back at some point and look at what we didn't get to cover though! i love the subject sm

not art history [at least not initially] but i am looking into animation! so staying in the art world for sure

one more old image for now because a) i still like how this one turned out and b) i've been looking through old art lately and i'm seeing varying levels of improvement. i have found images where i used refs [like this one] are generally cleaner and better

I may be seeing wrong but are Xenon's fingers supposed to be marked by bird bites? or is it just the shading effect?
