Nami had been keeping to herself in a small patch of sunlight, holding her bag tightly as she watched all the others interacting. Should I go meet someone? she thought.
Korudo had arrived with two others escorting him, scowling when they instantly left after making sure he had arrived. Shouldering his bag, he coldly looked at the others from different tribes. I can't believe it. Forced to go to a school with those from other tribes, he bitterly thought, walking off to find a map so he could get to his dorm and other places.
Kuro had been keeping to the shadows of the mountain walls since he arrived, trying not to show any pain he was feeling from listening to all the thoughts going around. This is worse than listening to other NightWings. Will I last long here?

Fraser happily took Kira's hand as well, "I'm no painter, but I can appreciate bright and vibrant art."
"Observing plants? Well, plants don't talk, they don't act. They don't do anything. They're predictable." Tock told the other, "What am I to call you?"

"Same here," Isla replied. "Are you, uh... excited about classes?"

Alex nodded. "Anything's better than being cooped up back at home. Even classes."
"Oh. Well, that's fair," Zaffre admitted with a shrug. "I'm Zaffre. I'm in the Silver Winglet, I think? Who are you?"
Offline
"Tock." He replied. He was now staring directly at Zaffre now.

Will anyone guess I'm a flamesilk? I heard Night Wings can read thoughts. There's one over there. Can he here me right now? Zodiac tried to indiscreetly look at Kuro.

Due to the so many thoughts exploding inside his head, Kuro couldn't quite tell who was thinking what. Not that he was supposed to care. He looked around for a different place to go in. It's way too nosy here...is there any other place that may be a bit quieter? Grabbing his bag by his feet, he decided to explore the outer ring of the courtyard, knowing fully well how crowded and loud it would be inside the mountain and his dorm house.

"Tock..." Zaffre echoed quietly. "It's nice to meet you." His wings folded tighter behind his back when he finally realized something. "Wait a minute. Are you a hybrid, too?"
Offline
"Yes." He said, "How did you guess?"
Offline
"Just your eye color and your wing color," Zaffre explained. "Your wings are too dark for a SeaWing's, but they don't have the stars like a NightWing's. And your eyes are orange, which people from both of those tribes usually don't have."
Offline
"You're right." He said, "Are you a hybrid?"
"Oh wow, that's awesome!" HiveWing and LeafWing?! I can't believe it! He shrugged a bit. "Yeah...well I'm just hoping there's more people like me here. And apparently there is!"
Monarch's eyes were wide with interest as she listened. "Wow...that's so cool! And it's a pleasure to meet you, Simo!" She shook his hand. "My name is Monarch."
Zabella, meanwhile, found herself staring the blocked tunnel at the base of the mountain. What are they hiding?

Kira smiled for the first time in a while. Maybe there really are decent people in this world. "What color should I use next?" she asked Fraser, pulling back her jacket and showing him the colors she had.
"Same here," Posy said, looking up at the sky. "I used to have to hide this part of me, but being here, I don't have to. You're proof of that! It's nice. Honestly, I wish I'd come here sooner."
Offline
"Mhm," Zaffre nodded, opening his wing. There were silver scales dotted on his wings, as well as bioluminescent scales glowing in between them, making his wings look like a night sky of constellations. "NightWing and SeaWing. You?"
Offline
The SeaWing nodded, clearing her throat. "You're from... the Sky Kingdom, right? I used to go to school in--in Possibility."
Offline
"Oooh..." Fraser said, "Nice... how about a bright red? Then make it into a purple?"
"Night and sand." He said, now looking at it, his wings were Sandwing wings, way larger than a Nightwing's. His horns are curved, like a Sandwing, "What's your life like a hybrid?"
Offline
"That...actually works perfectly," Kira said thoughtfully, grabbing her red again and adding her purple. She began to spray on the stone again, light splatters of the paint getting on her jacket. The tips of her wings changed to match the purple she was using, fading into the red like the art.

"Possibility, huh?" Alex echoed. "Never been there before. And yeah, you're right; I lived in the Sky Kingdom. Near the edge of it, actually."
Zaffre sat down beside Tock. "I mean... not... horrible? I live in an orphanage. There's a couple of hybrids there besides me."

Kuro nearly bumped into Zabella as he was trying to find a secluded place, stumbled back a couple of steps. "Oh, I-I'm so sorry!" he quickly said. "I didn't know anyone was here." Was that her who thought about these vines? he pondered.
Offline
"Wow. I didn't know I had such an artistic eye!" Fraser smiled.
"Oh. I have not come across many hybrids."
Offline
"Likewise, Monarch", Simo responded genially. "And how about you? What's it like where you come from?"
"Yeah, but at least we're here now!" Ryan's eyes wandered around the school grounds. "Well, I should probably go out my things away before the orientation begins."
"Well...we SilkWings work for whatever the HiveWings need done, really," Monarch answered. "It varies a lot."
Zabella jumped when Kuro bumped into her, and she turned around glaring. "You better watch where you're going." Another NightWing?

Kira grinned, and after a while, her art was done. "What do you think?" she asked as she got up to look at her work. She'd painted a sunset of sorts, along with a skyline.
Posy nodded. "Yeah. What house are you in, anyway?"
Offline
"Oh, I see", Simo said politely, though the confused look on his face said otherwise. "And you're all okay with just...working for another tribe?"
Offline
"Lovely." Fraser responded, "But it's unfortunate it's hidden behind this bench. It should be more open, for all to see."
