Is it Christmas? Yes. But it seems like only one member of Galaxian's gang has noticed and/or cares. Or maybe two.
Does spectating count as caring? Maybe Rai just doesn't want to get in trouble with anyone. But he's there, watching Hitan run off into the distance with a pine tree sapling and way too many translucent plastic bags, looking utterly unconcerned.
Oh boy.

(Oh the temptation to just throw in Crescendo for this hajdjsjfkek)
Silence watched as well, grumpy as usual. Well, maybe a little more than usual because North was forcing her to wear a Santa hat today. Because of the Santa hat, Silence just had to dress up because she didn't want to look mix-matched, so she's also wearing a holiday-themed dress. The top of the dress was white with long, ruffled sleeves, and over it she wore a red shawl with fluffy, white cotton lining. The red skirt of the dress was long and puffy with golden decorative details, and under the red skirt was multiple layers of fluffy cotton. Silence somehow didn't have trouble moving around in the dress, which was a bit impressive considering the skirt piece must have been heavy. When asked where she got the dress, Silence would blush and say that she didn't remember, but it became increasingly clear that at some point she made the dress, which implies she made it in a very short amount of time or she made it some time ago. Today, Silence's hair was pulled into two low pigtails, white ribbon holding her hair in place.
Missy was cuddled up in Silence's arms, wearing cute little, knitted cat boots and a red ribbon with little bells on her neck, unconcerned with everything happening.
Silence asked, probably not wanting an answer, "What the hell is that boy up to..." She was sure Hitan was up to some trouble, which makes sense.
The twins aren't in the scene at the moment, but one could easily imagine what they're doing.
North was more than likely decked out in some sort of flashy holiday costume, while Echo probably was only wearing a santa hat and a Christmas sweater (or probably a hoodie, considering it's Echo). Echo was probably helping North with whatever shenanigans he wanted to pull this year. Echo didn't quite understand Christmas yet, although this wasn't the first time she's experienced it in the Forums. She probably would be mumbling about there being something similar where she and her family came from if asked about it, but this knowledge didn't help much when it came to different customs and traditions.
North, on the other hand, caught on quickly to whatever happened around him, mainly because he read about everything in books beforehand.
North may be a bit over enthusiastic about the holiday, but that was one of the nice things about him. He got excited over everything, and so Echo got (quietly) excited over everything. Both were excited (although Echo didn't really know what they were doing).

What is he up to? He just circled back to boing the cotton ball on Silence's hat, shouting "Nice outfit and Merry Christmas, Silence-san!" as he then dashes off like some green-clad reindeer.
Rai, meanwhile, makes a slight "As above" gesture with his hands while he goes out of his way to avoid the cat-swatting zone, in case Missy decides to swat him in substitution of Hitan.
Offline
"Hmph, Merry Christmas or whatever," Silence sighed, annoyed.
Missy made a growling noise in irritation, her tail swishing. She stared at the direction Hitan went.
Offline
"Merry Christmas, and beautiful artistry," Rai echoes, just as Hitan shouts: "Raiiii-saaaannnn! Aren't you going to go back to get the rest of the bags?"
"And why would I do that?" the young man asks rhetorically as the boy keeps racing on. Down the hill he goes.
Offline
Silence blushed and replied, "Yeah, yeah, whatever."
Silence added as Hitan ran, "Hey! You're gonna fall and bust your face up! Take it easy, idiot! Geez..."
Offline
"Also--you should carry your own bags, buster," Rai says to the boy just as the other sends back a playful series of raspberry noises, directed towards either of the two. Maybe both.
"So rude," the cyber agent murmurs, tucking his hands into his pockets.
He usually does not walk this slow.
Offline
Silence followed, although a bit faster due to Rai walking slow and her own height advantage, and asked, "Do you know what the (censor) he's doing? He seems... more annoying."
Offline
"He's making up for what he did," Rai says faintly, indicating that perhaps he finds saying that as ridiculous as one might interpret it. He does not speed up, which is kind of funny.
Offline
Silence squinted her eyes.
"I would ask, 'What did he do this time?' but he's done so many things that one would not be able to specify."
Offline
"Right. But what's pertinent in this situation is that he helped make 24 Christmas-themed cupcakes for Tsukiakari and then ate them all." He puts one arm behind his head.
Offline
Silence made a face.
"Yeah, I would be trying to make up for that too if I (censor)ed up that badly."
Offline
"Nice to see someone having morals, since I'm pretty sure he's actually unrepentant." He laughs in his kinda bland, dry way. "Just scared of what Tsukiakari-san might do if he doesn't at least try to make up for it."
Offline
"He better start getting his damn act together before he gets in real trouble," Silence huffed.
Offline
"Hitan no Yume? In 'real' trouble?" He manages to sound somewhat skeptical. "He doesn't strike me as someone like that. He's more..." He contemplates it, or fakes doing so. After all, there's no way to tell if he already thought this through or if he truly uses 1 second to think through things. Both are realistic. "...someone who causes minor inconveniences but will have to deal with greater inconveniences caused by others."
Offline
"Hmph, I suppose you're... correct, but still. He may one day bite off more than he can (censor)ing chew and then get himself hurt." She didn't seem to like saying that Rai was correct.
Is this worry from Silence herself? Is she worrying about Hitan?
Silence would glare at the Narrrator if she wasn't too busy fixing the sleeves of her dress while balancing the cat on top of it. It's hard to fix your sleeves when you're holding a big puff of fur.

Hitan is shouting something in the distance, not towards Silence and Rai.
"Oh yeah. He is definitely getting hurt one day. But everyone has to get hurt sometime. I just hope he doesn't end up making it a habit or something." He stretches slightly with one arm. "Then again, he has certain people who will shield him, or throw the punches for him. On that note, he has more than most."
(I also don't know how this turned into a semi-philosophical discussion)

Missy meowed, cuddling closer to Silence. Silence looked off into the distance for a moment, thinking.
"Hm... did you hear what he was yelling just then? My damn ears aren't what they use to be."

"Yeah, but you don't need to know." He puts up his one hand in defense as soon as he finishes. "Oh, it's probably too late, but btw, I didn't mean that in a 'You don't deserve to know' way. It's more of a...how do I say it?? 'He's being him and so you actually don't need to know.'" He cocks his head slightly and vaguely summarizes, "Something about gingerbread men and running, and...oh."
"Gotta run, pardon me," he says in half a breath before he takes off like a horizontal-leaning rocket.

DID HE (CENSOR)ING ENCHANT GINGERBREAD MEN???, was all Silence could think. She stayed still, trying to figure out what Rai meant.

My profound apologies for Rai not elaborating while he runs. While he could do so, he'd prefer not to.
Oh, looks like he's gotten faster, by the way. Yay improvement!
Anyhow, he soon disappears over the hill. Hitan's long gone, too.

Silence sighed and began to follow the direction Hitan went.
