"Oh, wow, what a great observation," came the sarcastic reply. Silence lifted up the small container and headed upstairs.

Time decided to follow.
Lyre stayed behind and sat at the beginning of the stairs.

Silence entered Echo's room, went over to the bed, and sat beside Echo. Echo was still asleep.
Silence gently moved Echo's hair then started to apply gel to the scars.
"Gods, you cause us so much worry," Silence muttered. She then glanced over at Time and interrogated, "Are you sure you have nothing else to say about her scars? Anything about Octave could work too."
Offline
"How much do you know?" Time asked.
Offline
"Octave certainly doesn't (beep)ing like anyone but Echo, she's tried to kill us a few times, whatever you told me, and Octave has been around for a while. I didn't think it was to this extent that it effected Echo, though. Damn it! We're so blind."
Offline
"Well, of course. It seems Octave is doing everything for Echo, as she cares for her. However, Echo does not care for Octave and wishes to get rid of her. In a pretty irrational way too. clawing at whatever looks like Octave will not get you anywhere."

Silence finished rubbing gel on Echo's face. The scarring had disappeared. Silence moved on to one of Echo's arms, rolling up the sleeve and starting to apply gel.
"Echo's not one of rationality, nor is she good at seeing how things actually are, at reading people or situations. These scars seem much more than about Octave, I think. I'll have to make some phonecalls later."
Echo started to wake up, her head moving slightly to the side. She made a confused expression. Echo felt something strange on her face.
Silence said, "Don't open your eyes."
Echo complied. She didn't retract from Silence's touch either.
"What's happening? Where are we?" Echo asked. She sounded half-asleep, her wording slow.
"In your room. Relax. Hey, how about you talk to Time?"
Silence didn't feel like dealing with Echo while trying to put medicine on her.
"Who? Where's Momma?"
Silence froze for a second before answering, "She's not home. Time's your friend, talk to him."
Silence sent Time a telepathic message and gave him a glare.
"Temporary memory loss is a side effect of that spell I cast earlier. Play nice and do small talk, she'll more than likely fall back asleep in a bit. If you make her upset then I'll personally make sure you walk out of this house missing a few body parts."
Echo yawned, "Hi, Time..."

Time smiled at Silences threat, but maybe Echo just saw him smiling, but it quickly went away, "Hello."
Offline
Well, Silence ordered Echo to keep her eyes closed, so Echo doesn't see anything.
Echo said, "How are you?"
Seems like they are about to have a very basic conversation.
Offline
Yeah.
"I am doing fine. How about you?"
Offline
"I'm good, I'm really sleepy. Do you like..." Echo went quiet for a moment, trying to remember what she was going to ask. Her face reflected her confusion and moment of reaching for her lost question.
"Oh, yeah, music. I like music."
Offline
"Do I like...?" Time repeated.
Offline
"Music!"
Offline
"Eh. Music is pretty ok. I don't go out of my way to listen to it or not."
Offline
"Music is pretty! I wish I know how to play an instrument."
"Echo, you do know how to play an instrument. Two, actually," Silence reminded, now applying gel on her other arm.
"I dooooo? That's so cool! Time, can you play an instrument?"
Offline
"No. I don't." Time answered.

"You should... piano is pretty..."
Echo drifted off and fell asleep again.
Offline
"Well. That was a fairly unproductive and useless conversation." Time remarked.
Offline
"Hmph, you may see it as such with your pathetic little brain, but Echo certainly saw it differently," Silence scowled.
Indeed Echo did seem to see it differently. She seemed happy and relaxed, although it definitely was from the side effects of the spell Silence casted earlier.

"Well, we didn't get any sort of info out of it." Time said.
Offline
"It's best to not get information from her while she's in this state, especially with the memory loss. I think she thinks she's at least six at the moment, nine at the oldest. She doesn't even remember who you are, so it's best to not freak her out. Any information we get would be outdated."
Offline
"I didn't think a temporary memory loss side effect would go that far back." He said, "The info may be outdated, or provide context. I know you all must have had a troubled past."
Offline
Silence paused before growling, "Shut the (censor) up, you don't know anything."
Offline
"That's the info I need to learn." He shrugged.

"Why are you getting yourself more involved? Are you truly that (beep)ing stupid? It was the mistake of the universe that you're involved in the first place, and our past is none of your business," Silence said, eyes staring at Time coldly. "Anyway, why would a pathetic bug like you need that kind of information?"
