"There's someone else in the room."
Offline
that reads so ominously
"Silence is in the living room," Echo said. "Not in here." She scooted away some more, making her way to the cabinet to grab another mug.
Offline
"Yeah, sorry I meant that. There's someone else in the other room." Not like Time's narrator forgot to add that word.
Offline
Echo shrugged. She shrugs a lot, huh. She grabbed a mug from the cabinet and silently filled it with water.
Offline
Bruh. Back to silence once more.
Offline
She didn't say anything as she drank it down. Once she was done, she set it down on the counter beside her. Echo then stood quietly and stared at the ground, folding her hands together.
Silence's voice called, "Is everything okay in there?"
"Yea," Echo replied, not moving or making any motion that she would move from that spot. She kind of seemed out-of-it, dazed a bit.
Offline
"Come on, why are you so out of it?" Time asked yet again, "I'm assuming you won't tell me?"
Offline
"I'm, f-fine," Echo said, grabbing her mug and filling it with water again. "I'm not out of it. I don't think so. Why, uhm, so questioning?"
Offline
"It's because you look like you're out of it."
Offline
"Well... I'm not," Echo said, staring down at her water. She swished it back and forth in the mug, watching the little waves splish splash.
"I'm not."
Offline
Time stared at Echo for a good moment, "Whatever then. I guess that it is true I'm not the best candidate to talk with." He then started to make his leave from the kitchen.
Offline
Echo burst into tears, taking a few steps forward whole reaching out, and said, "Wait, I didn't mean to offend! I'm sorry, please don't go!"
She then retracted her hand and stepped back, looking away. She felt disgraceful and childish for crying and acting like this. She must look pitiful, Echo concluded, absolutely disgusting.
"...I'm sorry... I'm not good at... anything like this. Talking. I just..."
Even her own words made her start to cry harder. Echo brought her hands up to her face, in a way to hide herself. She was easily embarrassed and more so when crying like this. It was humiliation upon humiliation and Echo understood that she must seem to have a delicate and foolish composure.
"S-sorry... I didn't mean to... I'm sorry."
Offline
Time looked both slightly surprised and annoyed at this reaction of him simply turning away.
"What? Can't handle the truth? You really can't handle the simplest of things. Really." Time turned around and crossed his arms with a raised brow.
Offline
Time's words most certainly added fuel to her crying as Echo already came to this conclusion long ago, the reminder of it painful to her.
"Please forgive me..."
Offline
Time just sighed, "Echo, put it together. I don't think you'd enjoy telling something that you don't want to tell, right? Especially when that person might be someone like me."
Offline
"But it makes you displeased that I'm not."
Offline
"Why would I be displeased about that it is true that I probably haven't earned that level of trust? Like, sure I don't like that I don't get to know whatever it is from you, but it is because I haven't gained that level of trust, which takes time." Time explains, "I can't entirely control that, especially with someone like you, so I can't be really all that displeased."
Offline
"I'm sorry I... I just... I dunno..."
Offline
"You don't know now?" Time asked.
Offline
"I know not of what I'm saying. I will shut up now, if that's fine with you."
Echo felt like she wasn't making the situation better, so she thought being quiet would be beneficial.

(sMoshe)
Time sighs, once more "Why not we talk to your sister? Maybe that will help."

(we love it when my phone keyboard freaks out and I don't notice XD I'll fix that)
Echo looked unsure.
"No telling her about me, only normal conversation."
Offline
"And why is that?" He asked.
Offline
"...Because...I am not a good topic."
Offline
"That isn't really a good argument."
