Oh I know pinyin haha, that's like the pronunciation guide of Chinese, but I don't think I see anyone write with it. So, is it that you can understand Chinese audibly but can't read the characters?

I know LGBTQ+ isn't some "recent phenomenon," but I always do a double take when someone in a Chinese novel (set in an Ancient Chinese setting) is like, "I'm straight"
I'm not 100% sure if "straight" existed as a term referring to sexual orientation in Ancient Chinese times, but generally it's just how people were supposed to talk back then that makes me go, "Hmmm, doesn't sound like what someone back then would say or even presume that someone wanted to know that"
I'm guessing it would've been really hard to come out of the closet back then too, so seeing an affirmation of the quote-on-quote "normal" is also kind of jarring.

In my opinion, one of the most fun things with writing in an Ancient Chinese setting is the fake formalities, and then sometimes the subtle insults, and then the faked emotions, when all of it is part of a plot ahaha

I feel like if there's that one solid bad habit that roleplaying does to me (or most people but idk I don't want to say that without more evidence), it's writing in too much dialogue in non-roleplaying settings lol
Like, in roleplaying one usually includes every (irrelevant included) conversation between characters, but in stories you aren't supposed to do that lol
I sink in this hole every time.

Well, I guess I'm kinda already learning a lesson, since my perfectly timed laziness habit has resulted in me not being able to write (or draw) for more than 10 minutes per day,,, but I guess that's not enough since I don't need to do these two things to not be bored.
Listen, I talked to myself in a car for 9 hours without getting bored at all. At some point I was like "Oh the sun is setting," but I wasn't bored. Boredom has nothing on me. It really should at some point because that means I keep looping the same music and YouTube videos
Lol maybe I should make a character who embodies this sort of habit and then angst them just to make a point of "this is ___. __ suffers. Don't be like ___."

Lol feels bad when you get a 0 for doing something above and beyond the expectations, which is the absolute opposite of what happened in middle school.
Eh. I'll just spend a few minutes redoing it lol. No big deal. (*actually a big pile of salt but whatever, they're constantly a pile of salt by now.*)

I'd like to start today off by saying, if I have to highlight and mark the structure of my paragraph writing in college, I'll scratch my throat out.

I feel like it might be because I don't see a reason for them being angry. Like every time I POV Sunny (btw he's pretty much no chill) I either get annoyed or I'm just constantly laughing at how the littlest of things annoy him.
Idk, anger for me is hard to write because I don't get angry, really. I get touchy xD
Meanwhile, I get sad all the time. And I'm happy and energetic a lot, hence,,, (*stares at many OCs*) yeahhh

I did write stuff yesterday night. As usual, I tried to be poetic and failed miserably xD
I can't concentrate on to-do lists either lol heavens know how many of them are out there. If to-do-lists were sins then they'd be swarming me like a hive of wronged wasps. And yes, I was the one who wronged them.
I dunno. Sometimes I feel all artistic but I'm not someone like that. I can do a few deep metaphors but the heavens don't know where my ability to actually connect things is ('cause I ain't got any)
Gotta work on that.
I feel like I got some epiphanies last night, but my mind is running on no battery, so I need time that I don't have to sort them out. But one thing I do have is I need to focus more on visualizing setting. Despite being a somewhat visual learner, I really suck at visualizing stuff. Everything I do is impromptu. Writing, drawing, roleplaying, character-making, watching shows...yep.
I guess I'll have to focus on that later, but reminder to self to not use Galaxian as a character for practice lol, he actually doesn't have the human five senses, which will confuse me to no end.
