"Mhm. What about the rest of your family then? Were they soldiers? Or just you and North?"

"Silence had too many health problems during the time that labeled her as disabled, and Jay... I'm not really sure. He just wasn't chosen for the camp, but I remember he would make armor chains and other stuff for war. I think he was some sort of blacksmith, and I guess the government thought he was fine at doing that."
Echo thought for a moment.
"I don't remember what our parents did."

"What about the smiling one?"

"Adrik? Oh, he wasn't with us at the time. He was adopted by Jay after all that."
Offline
"Where'd he find him?"
Offline
"Uhhm... I think it was when we were wondering around different dimensions. I don't remember which one."
Offline
"So I take you traveled many?"
Offline
"I guess... Have you?"

"Nah. Not really."

Echo stopped crinkling her empty water bottle and put it in her bag, going quiet. She's not really sure what to say at this moment. Her headache had slightly reduced from the help of water.

"Do you two are the only ones with the weird stuff, huh?" Time asked, "And making sure, North, uh... thingy is still fine? Any names or anything like that?"
Offline
Echo shrugged.
"He hasn't given it one, so we just refer to it as The Voice..."
"North said it doesn't really affect him that much, it's more like a voice suggesting things and commenting randomly. He said it wasn't very clear, if I remember correctly..."
Offline
"But could he decipher what it was asking or suggesting?"
Offline
Echo thought for a moment.
"I think he said... he could make out the word 'away'. Not much, really. A lot of it is mumbling. Also the word 'seek'. It seemed really out of context, though, to North when he heard the words, so both of us aren't really sure what it means."
Offline
"Well then, it'll be important to keep tabs on that. As of now in this conversation, I think that's our only current lead."
Offline
Echo nodded slightly, rubbing her eyes. She pulled out another water bottle from her bag, opening while thinking.
"I'll... try to do that. It's not like he probably likes talkin' about it, though."
Offline
"Do you not like talking about it? Yourself?"
Offline
"I suppose talking about the Voice is awkward for both of us" Echo answered. "If you're talking about Octave..."
"...I don't really like talking about her."
"...It's easier to talk to other people about their problems then it is to talk about... my own... ya know? I... feel more useful when helping other people. Talking... about Octave, including right now, feels... opposite of that."
Offline
"Yep." Time nods, "Makes sense."
"Well. I guess you have to have those conversations in able to get rid of them."
Offline
Echo didn't add anything about that but instead drank down her second water bottle.
After a moment, she mumbled, "I... guess..."
Offline
"How many times has this Octave problem happened?" Time asked after a moment of silence.
Offline
"Where she has tried to kill someone? A few. How many times she has attempted to... take over is more than I remember, I guess..."
Offline
"How much is a few? 3? 5? 10?"
Offline
"I... don't remember. I just know it's a few. I think two or three? Or I might be... mistaking a dream for reality... I dunno. I... I just know it's happened before."
Offline
"What is it like? Actually?"
