Time sighed, "Very well. Your siblings must be worried, You ever get home at certain times?"
Time kept on walking.
Offline
Echo as well kept on walking.
"Around, uhm, six or seven PM, I think," Echo replied, trying to remember.
"I don't like staying outside late unless one of my siblings are with me."
Offline
"Well. Too bad you're not with any of your siblings." He said, "You think it's past that time? They must be worried."
Offline
Echo checked her phone, still holding Lyre very carefully while doing so. Good thing he's pretty small.
She paled a bit.
"Yea, it's most definitely past seven."
Offline
How small is Lyre?
"Hm." Time though to himself as time passed.
"It really seems that we won't make it to our destination today." He sighed.

Pretty small. The Narrator is not sure on the exact measurement.
"...Oh."
Offline
Maybe compare him to an object or something?
"What is oh?"
Offline
Uhhhhh, a football but a bit bigger? The Narrator might be not accurately thinking of how big a football is, though. The Narrator is not sure.
"Disappointment and stress."
Offline
Oh ok then. So I was kinda right for the size.
"Disappointment?"

"I need to see my siblings," came the very rushed response. Time could probably hear the panic rising now as her words were coming out a bit faster than before. Somehow Echo was able to keep her voice quiet.
"They're going to worry, a-and I just- I need to see them-"
Echo's breathing progressively became noticeably fast, tears were starting to form in her eyes. She was starting to look around almost frantically, rambling about her siblings with a quivering, barely-above-a-whisper voice.
The reaction was very sudden, the change of emotion being equally instant. She had quickened her pace as well.
"Where are- I need them-"
Although at this point, Echo's very drastic mood shifts are probably becoming a bit more... predictable. Well, predictable as in that they are probably more or less a bit expected to happen at some point. But that also brings into question of why they happen so often. Oof.
Anyway! Back to the RP! This is not a very good moment! It is actually a very Not Good moment! :D!

Time sighed a bit, "Please. Echo." He placed his hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry. Please. We can get there soon."
Offline
Echo had flinched away from Time, jumping back very quickly in surprise. It took her a moment to talk.
"W-what if something, something bad happens to them and I'm not there?" Echo questioned. "What if they're not there-"
Oh geez...
It seems like she has some type of separation anxiety.
Offline
"... I'm sure they can handle it." To be honest. Time knows absolutely nothing about them here so he's just lying.
Offline
Echo shook her head, continuing to ramble.
Offline
"Echo, take a breather."
Offline
Echo stopped talking, trying to breath slower. She stared at the ground, then at Lyre in her arms.
Quietly, she said, "Take him. I don't think I should hold him at the moment."
She still looked upset, but at least she was able to recognize that it wasn't a good idea for her to hold Lyre while panicking.
Offline
Time nods and takes little Lyre in his hands, "At least you're aware of it being a bad idea. That's progress."
Offline
"Progress..."
Echo rubbed her eyes, taking deep breaths.
After some minutes, Echo was able to calm down a bit more.
Offline
"Progress makes perfect." Time said.
Offline
Echo nodded, crossing her arms around herself in a self-hug type of way, scratching at the cloth covering her elbows anxiously. She did seem to be a lot more calm now, though.
(The title of this thread humours me because the entire RP is the plot going uphill then plummeting downhill, then it goes back uphill and repeats going up and down XD
It's great tho, I hope they become good friends
XD nervous about when Time will eventually meet Octave tho-)
Offline
Time was being silent and just waiting for Echo for a few moments.
Offline
"I'm sorry."
Echo rubbed her eyes again.
"I'm sorry."
Offline
Time didn't say much, though after a moment he asked.
"...How about we stay here for the night? You do seem a bit tired."
Offline
Echo didn't like the idea, but she nodded.
"Okay."
Offline
Time nodded as well. "I guess being in the dark won't be too helpful to us... mind holding Lyre for a moment? If you think it's ok."
