"How about we leave it alive? Hm? Would that help you?"
Offline
"...Yea."
Offline
"Well then lets see if it can happen." Time shrugged.

Echo didn't reply.
After a bit, Echo held out her arm to stop Time from going further. The monster stared at the two.
Offline
Time, decided that here, instead of just blasting the thing, he stood and waited like Echo
Offline
Echo very slowly moved, inching along. The monster did the same, still staring at the two. It was a bit strange, in honest opinion.
Offline
Time just kept staring at it.
The monster has eyes??
Offline
Yepp, and it's using its eyes to stare lol. Echo is making sure to stay far from it and is still inching along.
Offline
Well, Time watches the slime thing just inch along as well, he's just staring at the guy
Offline
Eventually (in a painfully slow way), the monster had passed by, now not staring at them but going on it's way to do who knows what.
Echo sighed, looking at Time, "...T-thank you for, uhm, not attacking it."
Offline
"Mhm." He eyed it as it left.
Offline
It doesn't show any signs of coming back.
"W-well, let's, uh, let's con...continue..."
Echo then swayed on her feet, catching herself on the cave's wall.
She doesn't look so well, actually. Echo looked extremely tired, sweat glistening in the flashlight's light, which she had dropped on the ground. Echo was struggling to stand, having to use both hands to hold herself up on the wall. The bandages on her now visble injured hand are bloody, and her hand had swollen more.
If Time looked at the ground, Echo had trailed bloody footprints, her cloth boot looking to be damp in dark red.
Echo started to have a coughing fit, worse than the one before.
(Echo: Let's continue!
Me: Absolutely not)
Offline
"You know, sometimes you should, just maybe, you know, maybe need to report injuries." Time said, only taking a glance back at Echo, deciding to stop.
Offline
While everything was not fine, Echo rejected, "E-everything is fine! N-not much of injuries."
Okay, yeah, sure, says the one who has acid burns and is poisoned, adding along with a burning fever.
Offline
"How dumb do you think I am? I've known that stuff corrodes and tears at your body from the start."
Offline
"No! Everything is fine!"
Panic was starting to raise in her voice, becoming more clear on her face. Maybe it was from the shock of being found out. Maybe it was because Echo didn't know what to do. Maybe it was because she was now scared of Time, a sudden though of 'He could kill me if he wanted to. I have no way of defending myself.' seeping into her mind.
"I'm f-fine! Fine! I'm fine!"
Echo' wings puffed up as she pushed herself from the wall, stretching out aggressively. It was clear that she was trying to not look fearful, but the tears in her eyes gave it all away. Echo, for some strange reason, truly believed Time was going to kill her. Maybe it was the high fever.
If any child is caught ill, execute them immediately. We can't have sickness spreading.
Yes sir!
"I'm fine! I'm honestly fine!" Echo kept repeating like a broken record, eventually bringing a hand to her mouth to stop herself from throwing up. She swayed a bit.
"Let's continue! Let's continue! I'm... I-I'm fine!"
Echo was on the edge of having a meltdown.
Probably the fever.

(Echo: *just wants to have a normal day with fun and happiness*
Me: Disgusting. How dare you even think of joy. Perish.
Echo: I JUST WANT FRIENDS-
Me: Ew)
Offline
Time looked onto Echo with what seemed almost an impossible look to read.
He started to step up closer to Echo, giving this long sigh.
"Do you wanna know why, why I did this?" He asked
Offline
Echo stepped back away from Time. Her mind was foggy; it was too hard to simply think clearly. She reached to summon a weapon to protect herself with. Echo was panicking even more as she couldn't tell what Time was thinking or even what he was talking about.
Echo didn't say anything, no longer trying to refuse the fact that she wasn't fine. She went quiet, dead quiet.
Offline
"Uhm... Hello?" Time asked, kneeling down to her level.
Time had noticed how she's reacted and to be honest, he wouldn't be surprised if she suddenly lunged for him, so he was sure to be prepared for that and light on his feet.
Offline
Echo backed up more, summoning a silver knife. She was starting to cry, getting near the point of hyperventilation.
"...Don't kill me, don't kill me, don't kill me," Echo pleaded with a trembling voice, holding the knife's blade towards Time. She kept repeating that sentence over and over and over and over, her hands shaking slightly from fear and pain. It was easy to tell she was having a hard time standing.
"I'm fine so don't kill me! I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine!"
She started rambling those false statements out like how a broken faucet runs out water: quickly and without pause.
(Oof poor Echo with her tragicc backstory (,: )
Offline
((Dw Time has a supposedly bad backstory, like all characters, but he just doesn't show it))
Time sighs again, gently taking the quivering blade and lowering it, "Take a seat." He gently motioned and lightly pushed to set her down, his words seemed to have a different, tone behind them, one much more caring, "Take deep breaths, please."
Offline
(OwO)
(Lol and then you have Echo having a panic attack every five seconds from the general thought of her backstory)
Somehow, this worked. Echo was probably complying because she didn't want Time to hurt her. She was still rambling while trying to take deep breaths, closing her eyes and starting to scratch at the insides of her injured-hand arm with her uninjured hand.
Offline
"Hey. Don't do that." Time slapped her uninjured hand out of the way with his non-gauntlet hand, "Stop rambling."

"I-I'm sorry-" Echo cried, jerking herself away from Time when he moved her hand away. She was still clearly not in a stable mind set, her arm red from the grazes the scratching had created.
Echo didn't open her eyes, wanting to block out everything. Every thought she had reminded her of one thing: The strongest killed the weak because the weak were burdens. Only the strongest could live. The future relied on the strongest, and getting rid of the weakest insured a better future.
Echo went completely quiet as her messed up mind kept spilling black ink over the current reality. She was useless, wasn't she? Pitiful, wasn't she?
Weak, wasn't she?
