Still relying on Google for pose ideas, I decided to try another drawing.
There are a lot of errors here. I'm proud of the coloring though.
[(ghost with cool pants)]
I KNOW THE LEGS LOOK WEIRD OKAY but I think it's because of how I drew the pants. It might also be a slight porportion error for the knee part. But she looks fine from the waist up, imo. I'm rather proud of the arms. And the hands too .
The face is... well, it's not bad, but I did mess up a bit. The eyes' irises are too small and it makes the expression strange. I was going for a serious or neutral concentrated look but I failed and I don't know what this is now.
Proud of the hair too, and I had lots of fun coloring it. I feel I could've given it more volume tho.
Germaine's skin is supposed to be a bit darker but it's a minor error since I didn't make her skin light and managed to blend correctly. So yeah.
And as for the spear, well, what can I saw except that I don't know how to draw weapons xD and I didn't have a reference for that. I tried to make the shaft straight and I used a ruler.
Anyways yeah. The highlight in this drawing is not the art style itself, but the coloring. I think I'm noticeably improving there.

In honor of August 15, I did a quick drawing of Ayano from the Kagerou Project.
:D
I know it's not that good, but I felt that I had to draw something for today. So I did this!Â
I like how the coloring turned out. I think the red pop out when the rest of the colors are monochrome.Â
I think I should've done the color on her shirt darker, since it looks almost white and that's not its true color. Oh, well, it doesn't look that bad.
And the background was fun to do. A gradient in black, because I got inspired by "Additional Memory" but I didn't have the patience to do all the white flowers and desks on a black background.

I like it!

Most of all? Dude, I like the background xD. I played around with an "FX" sparkle pen I found and it looks good imo.

This was a piece done rather quickly, which surprises me lol. Anyways I wanted to share it? but I wasn't able to post it before.
It's not really special, but I haven't drawn two people in he same picture like this for a while.

I started with the idea of making a slightly complex background but my imagination didn't cooperate and I was afraid to try it xD so blank background once again. Imagine they're walking in a street or something tho. I tried to make the pose(s) look like they're walking. Didn't have much luck with that.
Anyways, the two characters there are of different ages (obviously) and that was something I wanted to try. I struggle with drawing children AND height differences, so I hope it at least looks okay. It is possible to tell that one of them is a young adult and the other one is a child, right? They're both males btw and they are supposed to look masculine but uhhhmm Idk I also have trouble wih that xD.
I do not have much to say about the coloring except that I did it pretty quickly and so it's simple.
How do I draw headphones though ndjhfjfdjfdsjf do those even look like headphones? And I hate that one hand so much,,, but I couldn't fix it as much as I wanted in the lineart.
Anyways I hope you at least like it xD. Most of what I did in this piece was exploration so yep!

Nice!
Both look fairly kinda... what is the word ambiguous?
But sadly here the child looks like a short guy : ( Maybe it's the clothing? The build? Both?

It seems that I don't post much art here. Maybe I should put up some more when I can draw xD

I know I have this as my current pfp but anyways
His name is Martin :3
I used a base by the way. It's not really my style, and I am completely unable to draw chibi without references xD.
Anyways, the pressure sensor on my tablet (or maybe my program) wasn't working so the lineart is all of one thickness. It looks nice, but my strokes are choppy because I am not used to that. I attempted a technique Chan once mentioned (thank you Chan!) and tried making the lineart have some texture. So yep. Also, it's another try to brown lineart.
The coloring was fun. It was kinda hard to do without pressure, but I managed to fill in the lines if in a messy way. I used a water-type blender for the shading, which is something I don't do very often so i was just playing around with it here. Doesn't look bad. And it gave the hair a hair texture, which I like. If you zoom in though xD it looks super messy.Â
Idk the eyes look weird haha it is not my style.

Oh looks like I guessed right on who it is on your art thread lol
Well uhhh care to tell of that technique?

Day one of Sketchober: Coffee
Well, the coffee is supposed to be in the cup.
Idk if anyone knows this OC yet xD but she's called Ilantra. And she likes coffee. Coffee at 3 A.M.
I used a 2H and HB pencil for this plus a blender I was testing out. I'm not sure of how nice the face itself looks but I like the hair xD. And her clothes are always fun to draw.
That arm and hand though lol eh I wasn't very sure of how to do that part.
