out of context teaser #1: "animation, locomotion, perception"
// also side note: it's completely possible that some of this might not be accurate or relevant to the RP, as I have not finalized anything yet
Offline
out of context teaser, #2: a conversation between two very lore-relevant characters
"a curse did it"
"..."
"okay fine, (spoiler) did it"
"..."
"..."
"..."
"did you do it???"
"NO"

// disclaimer: once again, it's likely that this will be related to my RP idea, but I can't promise it 100%. this conversation is supposed to be an abridged version of an interaction between these mysterious two characters :^)

for the rp, I was thinking about doing a thing were there's basically two "forms" of the rp: main and side. main rp basically follows the main plot, where you can learn about all the wacky lore I haven't finalized yet while side rp will focus more on individual character plots and interactions (as in, this is where you all can go wild and do your own thing as long as it fits in with the universe)
basically it's just a fwrp fjsldfjksd I could get rid of the "side rp" thing though and just go with a regular plot-based rp
alternatively I could just write this as a story of my own (not a forumfic) and just yeet the rp idea,,, I guess I'll ask in a poll once I release more details
I'll try to post daily out of context teasers until I can work on it properly but most of them will probably just be conversations that have probably happened between lore-relevant characters
//
currently I'm writing about literary techniques while listening to the kh version of "this is halloween",,,,, I will probably lose my head by the end of this month :]
plan for lang essays: finish essay #1 by the 7th; #2 by the 12h, #3 by the 15th, and #4 by the 19th,,,, hopefully that paces it well enough so that I can edit and submit all four of them by the deadline. I also have that other thing due by the 14th but I just need to translate my bulleted notes into proper sentences
time to go back to writing an essay about a rude french teacher

That song IS GOOD tjo lol.
Aah that sounds like a lot of work! Remember to take rests and all that stuff <3 pls don't overwork yourself.
Also 👀 rp! Idk if I'd be able to join right away but I am following the development with great interest.

@Time: ty! although I've barely posted any information about it fjkldsfkds
@Specter: yeah! I actually love "This is Halloween", the aesthetic is fun
and ty <3 I'll try not to overwork myself haha
ty for following! it makes me happy to know that at the very least, there are people reading through this fjdslkfjklsd
//
that being said, out of context teaser #3 is similar to the first one! today you all get a few phrases that will probably be relevant to overall synopsis and lore:
"secondary colors are neat! heal/harm; push/pull; light/dark"

The format itself has me 👀 Intrigued! I’m excited to see more about it, whatever you decide, also that teaser though 👁👁👁 orange purple green?
Good luck with those essays!! That’s a good schedule djdjdndb and I almost forgot KH had the Night before Christmas as one of its worlds,,, a great one

I'm glad you're interested 👀👀
;) orange, purple, and green are indeed secondary colors! what is the relation to the list and in what order do they match up, I wonder
and ty!!
and yeah fjklsfjkds I've never actually watched The Nightmare Before Christmas (although I've listened to "This is Halloween" plenty of times) but it is indeed a great world in KH1

out of context teaser #4: another statement poorly describing a bit of lore
//same disclaimer applies, this might not be final
"twisty, spiraling horns made of magic"
// also unrelated hoping to get a lot of writing done today! please yell at me to do my work if you see me online anywhere

today I actually got things done! I have like only a tiny bit left of essay 1 and I'm finished with it and I can move on
I wanted to finish it today but I'm tired,,, I'll do it tomorrow morning I guess because I keep making typos
but man writing essays can really be fun sometimes, I missed it a bit

That's amazing!! Yesss rediscover your love of essays, it'll make those last three go by in a blink

Great! :D

yeehaw I'm finally done with essay #1!! the 2-page limit will be my bane, just to write one last sentence I had to go and re-read one paragraph over and over to see where I could cut out a few phrases fjdskfjkl
Sometime today I'm probably moving onto essay #2 + the extra thing on the Mahabharata that I need to do, the Mahabharata essay is due on the 14th so I figure I might as well try to finish it up this weekend
and dw I didn't forget about the out of context teaser of the day fjdksljfdksl I'll write it up after I eat breakfast
Offline
Congrats!! Djdndnd limits suck for me too, I write too much and it takes so much time to have to parse your words,,, good for proofreading though
Good luck with your second!! I’ve heard ab the Mahabharata and it does seem kind of daunting to read,,, I hope the essay writing goes smooth though!
Offline
Ah yes,,, limits...
Well, at least you could finish it!! That's good to know :3 And what's that book exacly about? Sorry for asking hehe but it sounds interesting 👀
Offline
@Chan: fjdlksfj yeah, same limits are usually tough to work with because I have tendency to write too much fjdslkffdjsk but it did help be get rid of a few redundant phrases so at least there's that
and ty!! I've been reading the translated version by C. Rajagopalachari throughout July and more or less have my entire essay about it outlined, it's just a matter of stringing the words together
@Specter: The Mahabharata is basically an ancient Sanskrit epic poem! it's not entirely religious but it does touch on a few religious concepts
the overall story is about the conflict that occurs between two groups of cousins (the Kauravas, who are the antagonists, and the Pandavas, who are considered to be the heroes). I forget what the direct English translation of the title is because nobody uses it but but "bharata" is usually the word for India in many different Indian languages. I basically read an abridged/translated version because I do not know how to speak Sanskrit, let alone have the ability to read it
it contains a number of moral dilemmas and stories about righteousness

out of context teaser #5 for the story/rp idea: something poorly summarized
"anyone there? yes? okay cool, prepare to die"
"it's..." (*glances at the clock*) "....3 am, who even are you"
"(:"
Offline
Ooh! An outline can be nearly half of the essay already, good luck again!! I hope you finish it quickly
BSNDNNSNS that’s like the h-hewwo rp
Offline
ty once again Chan!!
FJLKDSJFLKDSJFKL YOU'RE RIGHT HOW DID I MISS THAT
darn now I regret not starting with "hewwo? is anyone there?"
//
out of context teaser #6: "at least this festival doesn't turn out as bad as the one in professor layton vs ace attorney! .....although that's admittedly quite a low bar"
Offline
out of context teaser #7: yet another conversation between two lore relevant characters
"hey! stop! that's bad"
"so is your advice"
Offline
Bdbdndjkdd these teasers are keeping me fed 👁👁 I’m excited
Offline
👁👁 glad you're excited!!
// hoping to get at least half an essay done today, once again please try to tell me to do my homework if you see me online anywhere
