Lately I've been pondering on the idea of making a character creator (dollmaker).
Haven't been able to actually work on the idea but it's in my head if I decide to begin it.

Last night I had at least... twenty-ish visions of pieces of art I want to do.
So, the motivation is here!

Now, the problems are:
- motivation with no actual spark of inspiration doesn't work for me
- timeeeeee I have limited time to do this
-I have several W.I.P.s to finish
- help

I guess I maybe like art too much xD I can sit for four hours straight just drawing and not complain about physical discomfort or hunger
If the drawing is coming out alright, at least xD.

Anyways, I think I've kind of improved my art and I'm pleased with it.
I'm thinking of doing an art dump soon? Maybe not tthat soon.

I have discovered that it's easier for me to use real human models as reference than anime bases xD
Stock photos are my main reference now.

Also no, I don't trace them. I just look at the pictures and copy the poses.

Aligning the shoulder-arm part correctly with the torso has become a struggle for me :0

A rose

I copied it from a real pic I found on google. I'm going to try to color it with oil paints :D

Atm I've finished the background.
Idk what I've done tbh xD it's just me having fun with blending, maybe? xD
Lots of dark blue and viridian.

My face is stained adgkjdlkj I forget that I can't tap brushes against my face like I do with pencils xD
The tube of phthalocyanine blue confused me so much, ha, I thought it was purple but it was instead blue.

I forgot to close my bottle of white spirit and it almost spilled o.o
Got a little headache because the smell is so strong, but it's okay. At least the window is very open and there's enough ventilation in the room.

The work would be easier if I had my easel but it's not in my room yet.

If anyone has tips for oil painting and brush handling with that medium, I'd very much appreciate it!

Atm I won't be able to progress much more than what I've done already because I'm almost out of white. I'll hopefully get new paints on my birthday xD but meanwhile, I'll see what I can do.

I'm waiting for the oil to dry a bit more so I can handle my canvas again xD
I set it down in the wrong position so now I can't pick it up without getting paint on my hands lol.

I got my easel back too! Now I'll be able to paint more comfortably.
And I'm waiting for new white paint so I can resume my project :3.

Watercolor practice! With flowers xD

I didn't use references for the flowers and my memory isn't very good so maybe they're not really accurate
I know I tried to do some roses, lavender, a pair of orchid plants, and a sunflower, but the rest was kinda just my trying to remember other flowers I could do xD
I also tried laurel branches somewhere there
And the big plant is an attempt at trying to draw one of my mom's plants :3. I think it came out pretty well.

In general I like how it looks, since I don't use watercolors as my main medium for painting and also I don't know a lot about flowers lol.
But I'm discovering more about watercolor blending, and trying to make new colors out of the ones I have is one of my favorite things about it. Also how water quantity affects the hue.

I'm extremely late but!! Flowers!! Those look absolutely gorgeous, the way you used the watercolor is so pretty and pleasant to look at

I was thinking I would do an art dump with images I've drawn and not posted here but I'm reconsidering because like I'm not exactly satisfied with the quality of my drawings xD
I mean I like them, it's just that I think they're not the best.
Well I still have a looooot to practice before I can make my style consistent xD
