However, this goes away when the topic of the conversation is something they are interested in, like a video game they’re playing or an anime they like to watch. Clothing Preference: Harlow’s clothing style is very casual. They wear sweaters, sweatshirts, and t-shirts for tops, and either baggy pants or khaki pants. They usually have a pair of black and yellow headphones around their neck or covering their ears. They also wear round glasses.

Personality: Saros is the pretty serious owner of Sigmund Cafe. He’s somewhat grumpy and gruff when a person first meets him. But to his regular customers, his friends, and Jayden and Harlow, he’s a pretty loyal and protective person. He tends to be tired and exasperated a lot of the time, though. Taking care of two kids who do morally gray crimes can really take a toll on his energy levels. Speaking of, Saros would do anything to keep Jayden and Harlow safe and comfortable. However, he doesn’t push them outside of their comfort zones quite enough, which can be a problem. Saros usually thinks a little bit outside of the box to solve problems; a little habit he picked up from his sister, Pandora. With Pandora missing, Saros tends to regret things he did in the past, since he and his sister weren’t on good terms after she disappeared. He also gets annoyed quickly; especially when someone blends his coffee wrong.
Physical Description: Saros is a middle-aged man, with dark brown hair and green eyes. His hair isn’t as messy as Harlow’s and it is much shorter than their hair, too. Like his nibling, Saros has tan skin. He is about 5’7” and weighs about 130 pounds, so he’s pretty average in that regard. 
Clothing Preference: Saros doesn’t wear much except for his polo shirts, khaki pants or shorts, and loafers. He wears a green apron when he’s working in the coffee shop.

Name: Müri, otherwise known as Catfolk (singular: Müria)
Defining features: Müri are essentially just anthropomorphic cats with opposable thumbs. They have a variety of pelt colors that resemble those of domestic cats, such as black, tortoiseshell, ginger, etc. Their eyes, likewise, range from amber to blue. As for height, most Müri are around 4 to 5 feet tall.
Brief History: Müri are the descendants of humans who were afflicted with a curse that gave them feline features. As time passed, the curse continued to be passed down through their bloodlines until a separate species was formed. Most Müri choose to integrate into human society, but some strike out on their own, forming “clans” with other Müri.
Traits: Müri have enhanced senses of smell and hearing, as well as increased agility.
Life Range: Their average lifespan is about 70 years.
Physical Weaknesses: Despite their dexterity, Müri aren’t as large or as strong as humans, which can put them at a disadvantage in terms of physical ability.

Personality: Cinnabar is a quiet loner type. She doesn’t speak much, but when she does, it’s usually pretty formal or pretty aggressive. Cinnabar is stern and serious most of the time. However, she can say a couple of quick and sassy remarks to others that she is especially annoyed with. Always alert, Cinnabar is usually the type of person to attack first and ask questions later, especially when she is surprised or taken off guard. She is an introverted and reserved person who prefers to tackle her problems by herself. She is also an avid problem solver who tries to figure out how the world around her works. She uses that information to craft the tools she creates. She also doesn’t really understand modern technology and the like, because that wasn’t really integrated into Weaver culture.
Physical Description: Cinnabar has chin length silver hair that is slightly fluffy near the bottom. Her eyes are also silver with red flecks. She’s about 5’7” in height and weighs 135 poounds, so she’s average for her age. Her skin is rather pale. She, being a Weaver, also has moth-like wings, which are red with silver accents. 
Clothing Preference: Cinnabar usually wears hooded cloaks, usually either red, blue, green, or silver, depending on the day. She almost always wears a black suit underneath, with light silver armor on the elbows and knees. She wears dark boots, dark fingerless gloves, and a black face mask.

Weapons: Her weapon is a silver-bladed weapon with a handle wrapped in black bandage-like tape. It has a triangular blade and a long handle. There’s a ring at the base of the blade and the end of the handle so that Cinnabar can hook it back with her silk. It looks like a mix between a sword and a spear. She calls it her stinger sword. She also has an assortment of tools that she created that have a multitude of uses.
*Powers: Like all Weavers, Cinnabar can fly with her wings and she can create magic silk that heals her wounds quickly. She’s a fire spinner, too, so she can make the silk blazing hot to whomever touches it. Her fire silk is rendered rather ineffective in water, though. This silk can also be used to enchant items with its different patterns.

Backstory: Cinnabar was born as the heir to the Silver Weavers’ throne, and one of the only Fire Spinners in the tribe. Her mother died when she was very young, but her father, Leopard, is still living today. At a young age, she was taught by her father to be a proper and polite heir that didn’t meddle in “common affairs.” However, Cinnabar did anyway; she learned how to hunt and fight, like a Silver Weaver hunter. When she was 6, her father married another Weaver: a woman named Willow. This made Geometer her stepbrother. The two quickly began to grow a bond: Geometer, although quiet, is a great enchanter, and taught Cinnabar how to enchant the tools to come alive. The duo soon turned into a trio when Willow and Leopard had a kid: an ice spinner named Clearwing. The three trained to fight and to craft, much to their father’s dismay. Soon, Leopard sent Cinnabar to Diamond Bay to learn how to be diplomatic to other people… and to force her away from the influence of her brothers.

Name: Weavers
Defining features: Weavers look pretty similar to humans. However, they have butterfly and/or moth-like wings and sometimes odd hair and eye colors for humans. The wing shape and color depends on the tribe; Gold Weavers have golden wings with a larger upper wing pair and usually have tendrils hanging from the bottom pair; Silver Weavers have silver wings with longer wingspans, and Copper Weavers have copper colored wings that are shaped like a combination of Gold Weaver wings and Silver Weaver wings. Their hair and eye colors are typically coordinated to their respected tribes, too. The exception to this rule are the elemental spinners, who have either red, light blue, or cyan wings with accents of their tribe’s main color.
Brief History: Weavers were humans that changed due to the magic of the forest they lived in. There was once only one tribe: the platinum weavers. As time went on, the tribes slowly split into three. There are the Gold Weavers, who create gold silk with their magic and are focused in art and combat. The Silver Weavers, who can create silver silk with their magic and focus on hunting and music. And there are the Copper Weavers, who create copper-colored silk and are very creative with their society based on engineering. Then, about 1000 years ago, elemental spinners started to be born; weavers with silk that has either a burning, freezing, or electrocution effect. The chiefs of the tribes soon realized that each type of spinner was closely linked to a different tribe: fire spinners with Gold Weavers, ice spinners with Silver Weavers, and thunder spinners with Copper Weavers. The Weaver tribes had an industrial boom since then -- and, even though they’re not as similar to modern society with their technology as some might think, they are still very adaptive to their surroundings.
Traits: Weavers can fly with their wings, of course. Weavers can also create magic silk from their wrists. This silk has healing properties that make it great for quickly healing physical wounds, and designs made with the silk can be used to enchant objects. Some Weavers are born with the ability to make silk with elemental effects too. These Weavers are called Spinners. There are three types of Spinners, with each type of Spinner typically corresponding with one tribe:
--Fire Spinners are usually Gold Weavers. Their silk is very hot, like fire, and can severely burn someone if it is touched.
--Ice Spinners are typically Silver Weavers. Their silk is as cold as ice, and can even cause frostbite to someone who touches it.
--Electric Spinners are typically Copper Weavers. Their silk courses with electricity, and can electrocute someone if it is touched.
Life Range: 100 years
Physical Weaknesses: Weavers are not very fond of water and rain, since it weighs down their wings during flight. Speaking of, their wings are very delicate and sensitive. Also, weavers don't grow their wings and can't create magic silk until they're about ten years old, so the children are very vulnerable.

Physical Description: Emerald has a pale complexion and straight light gray hair that curls in. Styled in a bob, it doesn't go past her shoulders and has bangs swept to the right, at times almost covering up her shockingly near pink eyes. Her eyebrows and lips are rather thin. She has a lean build with strong legs. The girl stands at 5'7" and weighs about 117lbs. 
Clothing Preference: She's almost never wearing brightly colored clothes. A black headband is worn in her hair, and most of the time her clothing is a white button up shirt tucked into a ruffled black skirt that doesn't fall past her knees. However sometimes, she'll wear a pair of short black shorts. Her black boots have only a slight heel to them, and they don't go much higher than her ankles. The soles of the boots, though, are oddly thick.
Personality: Emerald, though serious, never seems to run out of energy. She's always awake and alert, always quick to put things together. However, this sometimes may make her seem like a paranoid person who doesn't trust anyone. She is slow to trust, yes, and sometimes a bit paranoid, but she can be very nice once one takes the time to know her. She's ready to listen even if she might not be great at giving advice. She's respectful to just about everyone, though at times it may be hard to tell and she comes off as arrogant, aloof or snappish. *Powers: Emerald has the simple ability to visit other's dreams. However, in order to do so, she must know the other person and must have had to seen them the morning before. Her power is not only able to be used at night. Instead, all she has to do is see and know the person she wants to visit and fall asleep. She gets a ping-like sound whenever someone she knows falls asleep. To visit the dream, Emerald can either close her eyes and visit the dream (her ability helps her to fall asleep even if she isn't tired) or, if she is already asleep, sometimes her ability will subconsciously work and take her into a dream after getting a ping. 
Whle in a dream, Emerald cannot control anything. Just about the only thing she can control is how she looks in the dream, when she arrives, and when she leaves. She often experiences exhaustion like she hasn't slept at all the night before because of her ability.Though possible, Emerald has not figured out how to bring people into her own dreams.

Backstory: For as long as she could remember, Emerald has had her unique power. Often times, she would tell her friends about how she visited their dreams at night, but they wouldn't believe her. By the time she was eleven, most parents didn't want their kids to hang around her because they believed her to be either a liar or a little crazy. This shut Emerald down despite her parents believing she was telling the truth. Since then, she's been more reserved and careful about who to trust or even talk to. By age sixteen, she and her family moved to Diamond Bay. (This is probably a very bad backstory, sorry.) -

He can, however, become very sarcastic and snappy if he believes he's in danger or being threatened. He's very compassionate and kind, and would do anything to help someone else. He doesn't like to open up in front of anyone, because he knows that if he does he'll break down. Cerin is actually very sensitive, and doesn't like people knowing, although it's very obvious. You would never know what happened to him and is happening, as he hides it all with a smile. Sometimes, though, when he thinks he's alone, his eyes are very tired.
Physical Description: Cerin has rose pink hair and eyes due to his shapeshift. His hair is always perfectly styled, no matter what. He's short and very thin, about 5 "7. He appears to be innocent and fragile.

Backstory: His parents died when he was young, about 8 or 9, in a car crash. Cerin believes that it's his fault because he had asked his mom {who was driving} if he could try some of her coffee, and she was distracted by responding to him. He still doesn't like cars to this day because of it, or coffee.  He was sent to live with his aunt in Diamond Bay after, and has resented himself and his aunt ever since. His aunt had very little money in the first place, and so she hated him for going to her. She lashes out at him a lot, {physically and verbally} even to this day, and accuses him of their deaths. Cerin doesn't have any free time because she made him work to repay her for taking him in, and he doesn't get any of the money. She sets strict rules and punishments if he doesn't follow them. He has currently stopped asking for lunch money from her and just skipping meals because he doesn't want to feel any more guilty. Cerin's work shift usually goes long into the early morning, so he's been getting less and less sleep these days, and doesn't have much time for homework.
