"I don't know. Does that mean 'similar'? You said I'm like Jello. 'Similar' means 'like,' I think. But 'like' doesn't mean 'similar'..." they add the last part as if they just made some epiphany they can be proud of.
Offline
"Oh, uhm, I what I meant was that you're, uhm, uh, similar to the Jello 'cause you said you didn't have a spine and stuff... I didn't mean, uhm, you're exactly Jello, just, uhm, yeah, similar..."
Echo took the spoon and carefully stabbed into the Jello, scooping some and holding it up to show Minty.
"S-see? No bones! Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle~"
Echo gently shook the spoon, the Jello going back and forth like Jello does when wiggled so. Obviously Echo doesn't shake the spoon hard enough for the Jello to slide off. It's a bit amusing to watch the gelatine tremble.
Offline
Minty is silent, perhaps a little disturbed by how easily the spoon stabs through the Jello. And also by the Jello itself.

"I-it's food. You're not food. Also, uhm, it doesn't have sentience like you," Echo explained further. "I was, uhm, using a simile, earlier, saying you're like Jello... I thought it would be... uhm... funny..."
Echo faltered a bit, mainly from Minty's quietness.
"...Want to try some? It's, uhm... It's tasty..."
Silence mumbled, "Is this person a (censor)ing idiot?" She's (obviously) referring to Minty.

"Something that is like Jello shouldn't absorb it," they state with a surprising amount of decisiveness. As they do so, the utter black parts that comprise their form spike outwards somewhat before returning back to usual.
"It seems like it's easy to stab," they point out out of nowhere. "The quality of that action...isn't comparable. But maybe, something could be done, hmmm."
Also, they ignore Silence's commentary.
Hitan is assessing the situation without blinking. It's been a few minutes since he last blinked. Oh boy.

"H-huh?" Echo made a slight confused expression. Poor girl is trying her best. "Oh, I'm sorry! Uhm, oh, did I offend you? I'm sorry... I didn't mean to compare you in a negative way..." Echo thought that because the Jello was easy to stab, Minty may have thought Echo was implying that they were also easy to stab.
Hitan, yo u r eYE S???

Anyone's welcome to try, to be honest.
"If I make this for the Jello, then it will be different and less comparable," they say. Finally moving a little, they do that through the form of raising their arm and shaking it extremely violently. But as they do so, something appears in the Jello.
"If the Jello has a spine, it will not be like me," they reason, sounding satisfied, at least somewhat. Their arm proceeds to just. Disappear completely.
But...but that's just a toothpick-shaped thing in the Jello, albeit pure white for whatever reason. It's melded into it without any holes to indicate where it might have entered. Though, a portion of it is about to poke out, so the previous statement's about to be a lie.
That does not seem like a good spine to have. The Jello should see a doctor.
Offline
"I... uhm...?" Echo tilted her head. "Is that edible?" She then looked up.
"W-where's your arm?!" She sounds very concerned.
Offline
"Am I edible?" they ask back. "If so, then it's not. If not, then it's so." Well, they seem unconcerned about their own arm, so it should be fine. Or maybe they're like Galaxian there, too.
Offline
Echo thought for a moment before a look of horror crossed her face.
"Is... Is that your arm?!" She pointed down at the Jello, obviously referring to the "spine" Minty has given it.
Offline
"That's its spine," they reply, utterly unperturbed. They even sound a little proud for the Jello for now having a toothpick spine. "Not its arm."
So......yes.
Offline
"N-no! I mean: Did you make its spine out of your arm?!"
Echo is a mix between horrified and amazed.
Offline
Minty, who was about to go on about spines and arms, does a full stop.
"I have an arm?" they ask.
Offline
"Yeah! It's, uhm, it's gone now!" Echo pointed at Minty, specifically where their arm would have been if it was not gone now.
Offline
"That's probably not true," they say thoughtfully.
Offline
"What do you mean?"
Offline
"It can't be gone if it was never there," they specify. It'd be a good specification if their view on things were the same.
Offline
Echo looks less horrified and more confused.
"...Oh...Okay..."
She looked back down at the Jello and grimaced. She doesn't seem that excited about it anymore.

We love the narrator's unique talent of making anything happy not-happy within 0.2 seconds.
"What does an arm look like?" they ask. "The Jello might want an arm."
Offline
RIP.
"Uhm... uh..." Echo pointed at her right arm with her left.
"It's, uhm, it's a kind of limb..."
She was very hesitant to tell them that.
Offline
No no, it's a really good thing.
"What's a limb?"
Offline
"Uh, well, uhm-" Echo does the vague hand gestures. "Like, it's a part of your body, like an arm or leg."
Offline
"Okay," they say, like they understand.
"So, are you talking with your spine?" they ask.
Offline
"Uhm..." Echo pointed at her mouth. "No, this is a mouth..."
Echo is wondering if she should get Minty an anatomy book at this point.

Hitan says, for the narrator, "'They' can't see."
Just a. You know. Gentle reminder.
