Echo shrugged, unsure of what to exactly answer.
"Uhmmm...I guess I can just tell."
Offline
"Really? How?"
Offline
Echo smiled.
"From the little things."
Silence yelled, "Oh, (censor) off with that!"
Offline
Usually, Hitan would have long joined in by this point, but instead he just watches intently.
"Okay," they say, like they understand. They do not understand.
Offline
Echo can tell they don't actually know what she means, so she does her vague little hand gestures that she usually does when trying to figure out what to say.
"Like, oh, I can tell because of her, uhmm, her mannerisms?"
Silence flipped Echo off, which Echo ignored.
Silence is blushing a bit, either/because she is being analyzed or/and Echo is right.
Offline
"Because you two are related," they say. They nod a bit and then return to their total stillness.
Wonder how they could tell they're related.
Offline
Echo nodded and smiled, "Yeah, we're sisters! Do you have any siblings?" It seems that she has already forgotten that Minty and Galaxian are (kinda) the same.
Offline
There's a pause on their part. "I don't know. Do I?" they ask back, like she would know.
Offline
"Ah, uhm... I have, uh, I have no idea...?"
Offline
"Oh." They don't sound disappointed. They sound like they knew she wouldn't know, actually. Makes one wonder why they'd ask.
Offline
"I-I'm sorry! I could try to find out, but uhm... it would be hard since, uhm, ya know, you don't really seem to remember much-- N-no offense! I just, uhm, I mean, one would need information to really try to find out those kind of things-"
Silence is staring at the two of them like they're idiots.
Offline
Hey, Silence! No fair. Make it three. Count me iiinnn!
"How can I remember?" they ask. Again, like she's supposed to know.
Offline
Silence would outwardly cuss out the other Narrator if she could do so without looking like a madwoman.
Echo thought for a moment, thinking real hard about it.
"Maybe magic? Like, I dunno, maybe some kind of memory magic, or brain magic, or something?"
Offline
Knowing she would look like a madwoman, the narrator makes silly faces at her.
"I don't have a brain, or a spine, or anything," they recount thoughtfully. "I don't really want to have one, either. A brain, I mean. A spine could be nice, maybe."
Offline
Silence scowled, biting back the list of nasty insults that flooded her mind.
Echo said without much thought, "Oh! You're like Jello!"
Offline
"Jello? Who's Jello?" They once again comment, before her response: "I hope they're good. I don't want to be like someone who's not good."
Offline
"Uhmm..." Echo did the vague hand motion.
"No, I mean, well, uhm. Jello is, like, uhm, it's kind of a dessert thing? I could get some from the kitchen to show you."
Offline
"Oh, I think I have some of that!" Hitan blurts out, causing Minty to look at him. He starts rummaging. "Lemme see."
Minty takes a while to think about that, but they eventually work up enough of something to say, "Thank you, but I don't know who you are." They pause again before asking, "Who are you?"
"You can call me Galactic President Superstar McAwesomeville," responds Hitan as he pulls out a suspiciously familiar packet of Jello and hands it to Echo instead of directly showing it to Minty.
"...okay," they respond. "That's a long name," they comment to themselves as they swivel their gaze, or whatever you call diverted attention for someone without visible eyes, back to Echo.
Offline
Echo struggled with opening the Jello cup for a moment, mostly because she's trying to not accidentally rip the cup apart while trying to peel the covering off (which she has done before due to forgetting her own strength). She then handed the cup to Minty.
"That's Jello! It's really good. Hitan, uhm, do you have a spoon Minty can use?"
Offline
"I'm not Hitan," he says without missing a beat. "I'm Galactic President Superstar McAwesomeville."
Well, technically Hitan isn't actually a name, so,,,
The awkward thing is that Minty doesn't take it. Maybe they can't?
Offline
Echo smiled.
"Galactic President Superstar McAwesomeville, can you, uhm, can you please get us a spoon?"
She continues holding the Jello out for Minty to take, not yet noticing they haven't taken it yet.
Offline
"I have one," he declares, reaching into wherever he's reaching and pulling out a spoon whose handle is, very suspiciously, wrapped in multiple layers of practically-opaque tape. He holds it out and dangles it as if daring gravity to take it instead of Echo.
They still don't take it.
Offline
Echo took the spoon carefully, somewhat wondering why there was tape on it, and looked back at Minty. She realized they hadn't taken the cup.
"Uhm... do you not want Jello?"
Offline
"I can't touch that," they answer. To themselves, they mutter: "Touch? Touch."
Offline
"Oh, sorry. Are you allergic?" Echo retracted her hand.
Ma'am, they didn't even know what it is.
