"Of course you can come with us!" The girl exclaimed, stepping away from Eustice and towards Echo.
"Again, it's not necessary for you to help us look. But it would be appreciated. Perhaps you can help us tell who is a forumer?"

Echo somewhat looked a bit surprised when the girl stepped closer, her wings closing a bit tighter around her own body. She stared at the ground when she spoke, nodding a bit.
"I think I could, yea. I-I'll, uhm, I'll try my best to do so."
Offline
"Thank you."
"And you? You coming with us too?" The younger one ran towards Rai, prompting Eustice to step forward protectively.
Offline
"I'm going home, so it's less of a going-with-you than going-back-myself," Rai says, stepping back from the younger one anyways. "Do you know what your forumer looks like?"
Offline
"What I can recall of the description is 'brown hair and a maroon coat'," Eustice informed, straightening. "The boy who directed us did so very quickly."
"But if the forumer isn't there, he said their gang would greet us!"
Eustice turned and began walking to the girl's previous hiding place. "Let's get on going, then."
Offline
"Ngl, the maroon coat thing sounds pretty iconic to me," Rai says, glancing at Echo.

Echo thought for a moment.
"I think, uhm, one time I met a forumer that fits that description. Uhm... but it was, uh, a long bit ago. Oh, uh, what was their name...? I'm sorry... I'm sorry, I-I don't remember... I'm not very helpful... oh geez, sorry, I'm sure I'll, uhm, I'll remember in a bit..."
Offline
"That's fine. At least now we know that the forumer we're meeting is real."
Eustice pulled out a messenger bag from beneath the rubble and put it on.
Offline
"Okay..."
Offline
"Eustice..." the girl half-whispered, running to the woman's side again. "I think 'they' are nearing again."
She glanced at Echo and Rai. "We're starting off right now. If you're coming, then hurry up."
Offline
Echo nodded and waited for the both of them to lead where they wanted to go.

Eustice turned completely and began to walk quickly down the street.
The orange-haired girl ran up to her and grabbed her hand. She seemed nervous.
Offline
Echo followed, folding her wings behind her back and putting her hands in her pockets. She looked around the city as they walked, wondering why it had been deserted in the first place.
Offline
Hmm, good question.
The pair kept on going.
However, something just began to feel different about the place. Like there was something or some things watching. Watching from the shadows inside the buildings at the sides of the row.
Offline
Echo's skin crawled a bit, feeling irritated at the feeling of being watched. It reminded her of too much and she wanted to quickly get away from whatever the source was.
Still looking around, now with a bit of paranoia, Echo moved a bit faster and closer to the pair.

Everything was silence for a moment. Eustice's footsteps echoed in the street, her pace quickening along with the girl's.
Then a tiny chunk of rock fell as something... someone else crawled from a cavelike feature formed by pieces of building.
A woman, a blond woman with nothing but a white tunic wrapping around her body.
On the other side of the street, a man seemed to have "appeared". He was dark haired but sported the same kind of clothing as the other woman.
Two more similar people began to come out of spaces formed by the rubble as well.
Then another. And another.
Soon, ten or more white-clad beings were standing silently along the sides of the ruined street.

Echo squinted around at the people.
"Uhm..."
This... didn't feel very good. This situation, in fact, felt very bad.
