The Eerie Aerie- Req/Leg's Homethread

*Voila! A place where obscure creatures, feral science, and eldritch dreams collide! Featuring the ever-so-melodramatic, sardonic Requiem/Legacy!*

Hello! I have decided to make a new Homethread because Why Not?

Don't know what I'm going to talk about just yet, other than I haven't slept and I am but a worm on a string.

Dragons? Maybe science? There's so many possibilities in this small eternity.

...Dang it I want to revamp old OC's.

*rubs hands excitedly* yay someone who doesn’t mind trains! For your cooperation, you get a high-speed (145 mph passenger, 110 mph freight, or whatever you can manage), 4-track mainline!

The Wings of Fire Railroad’s 1801 should be coming though later

@Time

'Allo new homethread!

@Night

*Rubs hands excitedly* Mwahaha....

Thank you for mainline! The OC's will get to managing it immediately. Hopefully some of the bigger ones won't try eating it!

Also ParaNorman, Coraline, and Kubo and the Two Strings make me emotional.

Re: The Eerie Aerie- Req/Leg's Homethread

(Lawyer mode engaged)
The WoFRR requests that all trackage be managed and/or maintained in-house or by contracted companies. If there is an urgent issue or emergency regarding the tracks that requires trains to be stopped, find the nearest railroad crossing and call the number on the blue sign. Maintenance of the rails should only be done by trained professionals; any attempt made by an untrained individual may result in unintentional damage; this will be treated by the WoFRR as tampering and the railroad will fully cooperate with law enforcement.

Re: The Eerie Aerie- Req/Leg's Homethread

(Sorry for the absence, work got in the way; continuation from jack’s box)
It’s now mid-morning on this quad-track section of mainline, of which the outer two are all but reserved for a commuter railroad serving the sprawling suburbs of a 20-miles-distant city. The center tracks are for freights and long-distance express trains.
Those two center tracks are what the throngs of railfans are focused on. All are quite excited about the rapidly-approaching 1801, and are hungry for any updates on her location they can get. Most are crowded around those in possession of radios tuned to the frequency used by the WoFRR, though some are busy setting up tripod cameras; one in particular, having already set up his, is almost giddy with excitement, and rambling on and on to passengers waiting on the nearby station platform, who could care less about the new ‘Dragon-class’, whatever that meant.
Then, a commotion around the nearest radio, and someone shouts “Only a mile and a half out, boys; Defect detector clocked ‘er at 108!”
Not long after this is announced, a near-horizontal column of steam rises into the sky, and then that powerful whistle is heard, getting louder by the heartbeat. The sound of frantic chugging, so fast that they run together into one long cacophony, soon approaches from around a corner, then the crossing bells start ringing, the gates coming down almost immediately, that whistle roars again, much closer now-
And the massive engine barrels around the banked turn at almost 110 mph, drive gear just a silvery blur, and then she’s past, leaving everyone either covering their ears from the pounding of the coal cars, or awestruck into silence at the sight.
Everyone except for the railfan on the platform, that is. He is going wild, jumping up and down, and screaming at the top of his lungs out of pure elation; his videos have made local news before from his excitement at much lesser events.
Soon, the last coal car whips past; some get in their cars to try and get ahead and get more footage; others head home, deciding it’s not worth the ticket.

Re: The Eerie Aerie- Req/Leg's Homethread

MMmmm, good! This is very good!

The denizens of the aerie watched in curiosity. Some were organic, others mechanical, and a few that didn't fit into any category. All of them looked like they were spawned by fevered, draconic dreams. They whispered in many various languages, only few understandable. One denizen, some sort of buff squid-man with bird wings, yelled out.
"Train!"

Also can't believe my family forgot my inside jokes. Like.. bruh.

It's especially a big oof when the person who was there when the inside joke started forgot. If one forgets my inside jokes, I probably sound like a serial killer.

Redesigning/rewriting OC's is fun. There's so many. cool things to take inspiration from.

Semi-related is I'm planning an OC giveaway on HB, but I might keep some of the more mature OC's to giveaway here and some of the other forums I go on.

Ahhhhh, thank you, mate!

I haven't made a spreadsheet (yet), but I think, in total, it could go into at least a hundred.

Of corpse, I only focus on a few developed ones, and some are practically abandoned (due to bad memories). Giving away the less-used ones will let them have a better life, without the animosity that lead me to leaving them.

This is OC services we are reporting a compla- (hehe I'm terrible to my own OC's)

But I feel like the agent to a ton of actors, and I'm helping some actors find new places as freelancers.

Bold of you to assume I manage them all /j

I focus on little bunches at a time. Three for three months, then three for another three... that's how it works. I'm revamping some older ones and giving away some others, so I hope to have more free space for more OC's and more development.

Well, there's the Wanderer for example, where all of the freaking endings are sad. It's told from the very beginning that it's a tragedy, but I tried to rebel against the programming and failed.

There's also Animal Crossing when I accidentally told a villager to move away and I couldn't reverse it.

In a different game, I will only give one word.. horse.

Also, not related to games, but do I technically have to fight Zura/Samurai, due to the whole "I made an oath to fight anything and everything related to warrior-based classes in feudalism"? Also I'm saving up for Spooky Season and I don't think it would be pragmatic to waste it on technicality-based fights.
