I inked and colored the sketch for day three!
Tbh it was so pretty after inking xD I took a pic bc I feared messing it up later. But it turned out nicely I think!
I might comment a little more on the character design after posting the pic, but rn I'mma say that I messed up a bit with the hair color xD gradients are kinda hard and I don't have strong orange colors. So the color starts as yellowish and goes to orange to finish at brown--when it actually should go from strong orange to dark-deep orange to tawny/brown.

It's been quite a while since I last drew something on digital without using a base

This is just a rough sketch of what I'mma finish doing,,, someday.
Uh I did the thing myself! :D It's hard for me to do the sketch part on digital XD so I hope that counts as a bit of progress. Anyways, I'm still sketching it, so there's things I might fix.
Like, the right arm (at the left side of the page). It looks off to me but I don't know why.

I airbrushed eye shadows (not the eyeshadow makeup, but the dark markings from little sleep) under a character's eyes and she looks older for some reason

My mom was testing out drawing programs and downloaded MedibangPaint on her phone :D
Sadly, it wasn't what she was looking for and she didn't let me keep it there.

It looks like an absolutely amazing program though! More suited for my style of digital painting than the program I currently use xD
At least I now know what I need to download when I get a smartphone.

Yes it is. It's available on any computer except those I have. And since you don't have mine, you should be fine.

So I can't post it right now but I'm almost finished! Just have to do the "background", which is going to be kinda tricky.
Saying this beforehand: the piece itself is not as good as my usual work, but I'm proud of the graphite coloring (especially for the hair!) and also that I tried a new pose.

Honestly, I'm not really expecting to win xD not even third place, but simply participating is good enough for me Ig.
The theme for my category is "The World of the Real Heroes" and it's supposed to be allusive(?) to the COVID crisis.
I have one week to finish my submission so time to get thinking!

I don't like my sketch for the Medal prompt :') it's... not nice xD. The proportions and expression are weird.
Also I couldn't figure out what to draw for Reclaim. At least not yet. Well, for the time being, I'll be skipping that prompt .
I've gotta draw what I have in mind for the next ones! I actually skipped directly to Fragile, but I am planning on doing the others soon.

Atm I'm not doing them in order xD

Apparently this month is Art Month (at least according to an art supply store here xD more business for them haha) and there's going to be free courses all this week.
Today I just finished a meeting which was about calligraphy with Tombow markers.

Dude those are. Awesome.
Expensive but they look absolutely amazing.
They're 15% off so maybe I can get my dad to buy them :eyes:

I'm broke because I used up all my allowance on art supplies on the last visit to that supply store TvT
It's not like I had a lot to begin with lol.

Anyways I'd be MORE than willing to pay S/. 115 for a set of Tombow markers. Absolutely amazing.
Also that marker paper??? So cool???? I want it.

Earlier today I saw a Pinterest pin which said like "Entering an art store as an artist is the equivalent of entering a candy store as a five-year old" and can it get any more accurate?
Well, even as a sixteen year old xD I would be completely excited to go to a candy store. But it counts too.
