Chris extinguished the flame and took another bite of the kyikar. "Much better. So, uh, summon any good ghosts lately?"

Mackenzie nodded, her lips forming a small smirk. "Yeah." She jerked a thumb at herself. "This girl right here made a deal with the city- oh, that reminds me." She cleared her throat. "Sorry about the whole... threatening thing. I was just defensive and... yeah."

Ghosts? Jayden echoed Chris's comment in his mind. Maybe it is something important... or, at least interesting. He decided to keep one ear open to the group's conversation as he kept eating his kyikar.

"Do you have anything else you'd like to say?"

Mackenzie grunted in agreement with Ivy. "I guess it wasn't so much of a deal as it was an invitation, but I'm gonna go to that super fancy castle school. Don't remember the name, but it looks cool, and- hey! I won't have to sleep in an abandoned warehouse anymore. That's nice."

"Oh, uh, yeah sure. Don't worry about it", Chris said. Mackenzie certainly seemed less intimidating now than she had in the graveyard. "It was kinda scary back then but uh, yeah it's all good. Wait, did you say you're going to go to NSGP?"

"Oh man, you've been living in a warehouse?" Tessa widened her eyes. "Well, the school's nice, you'll like it there," she said with a smile.

"Oh, cool," Tessa remembered something from the night at the graveyard. "Do they have to do with how you could see the ghost?"

Riven nodded. "N-no problem." He walked over to Tessa's table. "U-uh, hi. Room for one more?"

"Yeah. I see the dead. Doesn't matter if they're invisible or visible to other people, I see 'em 24/7. And then sometimes they give me a ringing in my ear, which... sucks." She patted the chair next to her for Riven.

Albert's head shot up. "Let the ruling class tremble at a communist revolution. The proletarians to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Workingmen of all countries, unite!" He pointed up at the ceiling before he realized what had just come out of his mouth. His face went as red as a tomato.

Riven sat down next to Mackenzie. "Wait... you can talk to ghosts 24/7?" He tilted his head at her. "That's a neat power."
