The girl glanced back and forth before leaning in. "It's Mackenzie," she whispered.
A long beep resounding throughout the school signalled that it was time to head to first period classes.

"Well," Tessa lowered her voice to a whisper as well. "It's very nice to meet you, Mackenzie." Upon hearing the bell, a small bit of realization dawned on her. "Shit, I don't have any of my stuff!" With a small wave, she poofed back into a red panda, grinning ((can red pandas even smile??)) up at Mackenzie once again, and scampered off to get her things.

"It's not your fault." Leaf repeated, more firmly. "Even if you did act suspicious, she just thought you were going to take her muffin, which just doesn't make sense." Hearing the bell, Leaf said, "Welp, guess I'd better head to class. Um, see you around!" With that, and two awkward fingerguns in Riven's direction, Leaf turned and started walking to their first class - Arabic I.

Mackenzie waved back, but didn't say anything.
Laura hurried off to her Advanced Geometry Class.
Alfred, being Alfred, was still asleep.

Asterin decided he...wasn't going to do class. He grabbed his things from his locker and headed down the hallways, not paying attention because he had memorized them by now.

This is when Mackenzie decided it was break-in time. She slipped in through a nearby door and, after joining the crowd of students heading to their various classes, broke off to explore a dimly lit hallway.

Apparently, not well enough because he ran face first into Mackenzie, not realizing she was there.

Mackenzie stumbled backward. "Dude, what the hell-?"
Offline
"Sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going. Are you okay?" He said quickly.
Offline
Mackenzie rolled her shoulders. "I'm fine, I guess, just surprised." She scratched the back of her neck, glancing around for possible exit. She found none. Shoot.
Offline
"Do you need help getting somewhere?"

Riven gave Leaf an awkward wave when he left, then headed toward his Astronomy Class.
Offline
"No, no, it's okay." She paused. "Do you have a class to get to?"
Offline
"You could say that..." He tried to hide his bag behind him.
Offline
Mackenzie clasped her hands behind her back and whistled. "Maybe you should... go to that. I'm not that important."
Offline
I mean, if people are starting to head off this own class? Yeah
Offline
"No, it's okay, really!"
Offline
"Okay." Mackenzie paused again. "Do you wanna do something, or...?"
Offline
"Well, I thought you were going somewhere...."
Offline
"Oh, I was just wandering," Mackenzie lied.
Offline
"Ok...." He trailed off, unsure of what to say.

Mackenzie's shoulders went slack. She crept up the nearest staircase, boots clacking against the floor.
Offline
"Bye then I guess?" He watched as she climbed up the staircase.
Offline
Mackenzie hadn't realized she'd been being watched. She momentarily stopped ascending. "Yeah, uh, maybe we'll see each other again sometime. I like vanilla lattes from Starbucks." Not entirely sure why she blurted out that last part, she then dashed up the stairs.

"O-ok!" She's a bit weird. But nice I guess... Asterin headed off to the ice rink to practice. Again.
