"I'm a cute vampire!" Adrik grinned widely to show his fangs, his large eyes blinking innocently.

"Aw, are you scared too?!" Adrik questioned, now looking slightly upset.

"I'm a nice vampire!"

He gave Time some more space between the two of them.

"Ah, uhm," Echo was trying to find something to say. 'No, I think he just might be tired, ya know? Sleeping in a forest isn't comfortable."

Adrik suddenly brightened up, grinning again.

"Oooooh! Okay! I slept in a forest before, so that's understandable!"

He then got distracted by Lyre who had conveniently waddled up to him.

"Yaaaay!" Adrik happily yelled, hearing Time.

"Just because I'm a living dead doesn't mean I can't be energetic! Nope, being dead gives me even more energy! Whee!" 

Adrik laughed in response. 

His next words were too happy. 

"Well, my father took me out hunting and we got separated! Then I was attacked and they turned me into a vampire! Scary, right? And then I..." 

Adrik stopped, trailing off, his grin fading for a moment. It quickly returned, though. 

"...That's it! That's how I became a living dead!" 

Adrik picked up Lyre and exclaimed, "So cute!" 

"Where'd you get him?" Adrik asked, petting Lyre who was super happy. 

"In a cave," Echo answered. 

"Ooh, caves are cool! I like caves!" 

"Hmm, he looks like some kinda dragon to me," Adrik said. "One of the more hybrid kind, I think!" 

"Dragon puppy!" Adrik grinned. 

"Noooorth! Look at the puppy!" Adrik said, going up to North with Lyre. 

"Uhm, cute?" North hesitantly petted Lyre, who licked his hand in response. 

"Oh! Cute!" 

Echo said, "So it's pretty agreeable that Lyre is cute, huh?" 

Echo laughed. Her laugh was weird, kinda short sounding and higher in pitch, but somehow fitting to her. She looked really happy. 

"You better take good care of him." 

"Good." 

(I love how sweet this is and how we're going to eventually ruin the sweetness with Octave later lol) 

Echo smiled back and the group continued to walk on.
