"S-sorry, I was trying to restate the question you asked me to you!" Echo put sketchbook up to her face and her wings slightly fluffed up and flapped defensively.
"I'mreallybadatthiswholesituation,I'msorry!"
Offline
"Hm." Time didn't know that she would react like that. Learn something new every day, yeah?
"Well. I don't really do anything around here. I just wander. I wondering what you do, besides drawing, really."
Offline
Echo's wings folded back up, and her arms only slightly relaxed. Thank the gods, he wasn't mad, Echo thought, now embarrassed. She should learn to be less jumpy.
"Uhm... I dunno. I sorta just... exist. I don't really do anything that could be said to be important or anything worthy of being noted. I just exist... ya know, breathing, eating, sleeping, walking, ect."
Echo' shoulders raised into a shrug as her arms slowly fell to her sides.
"I just take up space in places that need space taken up."
Offline
"Oh, really?" He raised a brow, "No goals? No driving motivations?"
Offline
Echo shook her head.
"Honestly... no. I guess living... is enough."
She didn't seem happy with her own answer.
"I dunno..."
Offline
Time sighed, "Now, that sounds like a problem, yeah?" He said, "I think you gotta have a goal."
Offline
"..." Echo didn't respond for a moment. "What kind of goal?"
Offline
"Anything, really. I think." He shrugs, "A purpose? Yeah."
Offline
Echo looked unsure.
"A... purpose...?"
Offline
"A goal. A purpose, anything" He responded, "Life sucks without it."
Offline
"...Hmm..."
"To get better... at talking?" Echo tilted her head. "Is that a good goal?"
Offline
"That's... a goal. But a temporary one. I guess. I'm talking about big goals, big purposes, you know? You got any of those?"
Offline
"...Not really."
Offline
"A purposeless, goalless live isn't one worth living. I... think." Time said, starting to stare off in the distance, "Anything with your family?"
Offline
"...To not loose them again."
Echo coughed then said, "Uh... that's more like a hope then it is a goal though."
Offline
"Again?? Again?" Time asked.
Offline
"...Long story," Echo replied. "Best to not discuss, please."
Offline
"Touchy? Touchy touchy?" A ghost of a grin appears on Time.
Offline
Echo gave Time a look that was generally a "please don't" type of expression.
Offline
That only made Time's grin, ever so slightly larger, hopefully by not much. That's bad. Time. Bad Time.
"Why not? I guess this really is a touchy touchy." He shrugged, "Fine. I guess. Back to one-way conversation? At least you do kinda have a goal now."
Offline
"I... guess..."
Echo asked, "Obviously you don't have to answer... uhm... do you have a family?"
Offline
Time then looks up into the clear blue sky.
"Who knows, you know?" He said with a sigh, "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."
Offline
"Oh... sorry."
Echo looked up into the sky then said, "It's very blue."
Offline
Time nodded, "It is very blue today." He said, "Why sorry? It's an answer to a question."

"...Your words' meaning... are saddening," Echo said. "I have probably asked a question that you would not like to be asked as you don't know if you have, or had, a family. I am apologizing for such a question that can evoke saddness."
That was a weird wording choice, but it gets the point across.
