City hall isn't packed- but people mill about, some beginning to dance in their formal suits and dresses, others gravitating towards the buffet. There are clothed tables strewn across the place. As a note, admission is equivalent to $5 USD. Students have been given the day off.
Mackenzie was currently stuffing her bag full of shrimp. She was dressed somewhat formally- a cheap dark purple dress underneath a leather jacket; for footwear, flats.
Alfred had his face in his plate, his chest rising and falling with snores.
Sarah- in her usual attire- was walking around, doing interviews with banquet-goers, taking notes, etc.

Riven was a reading a book in the corner, with slightly more formal clothes than he usually wore; namely a polo shirt and an open sweater overtop. He didn't seem keen about talking with the other people there, though.
Jayden was eating his kyikar at one of the tables. He was dressed pretty formally, too, with a waistocat underneath his tailed longcoat, black gloves, dress pants, and brown boots.

Sarah approached Riven, a warm smile on her face. "Hello, may I ask you some questions? I'm with the NSGP Newspaper."

Chris looked out of place amongst all the fancy outfits in his AD/DC t-shirt and jeans. He ignored the odd looks from some of the other partygoers and made a beeline for the buffet tables. Grabbing a heaping serving of kyikar, he looked around for a place to sit.
Offline
Mackenzie tensed when Chris came to the buffet tables, but relaxed once he simply grabbed some kyikar and left.

Tessa took a serving of ilyas from the buffet and stuffed a few napkins in her jacket pocket, which she planned to work with later. She was slightly formal, her usual jacket over a slightly nicer romper instead. Shoot, she thought as she looked around for a place to sit.

Riven raised his head. "I, u-um... sure, I guess? What do you want to kn-know?"
Offline
There were a bunch of vacant tables to the far left of the large room.
Offline
Tessa breathed a sigh of relief when she noticed the empty tables, and beelined over there to eat her food. As she ate, the napkins beside her were lifting up slightly, some folding. She looked frustrated though, as if the napkins weren't doing what she wanted them to do.

Chris made his way over to the vacant section of tables. He was going to sit down at an empty one, when he recognized someone. "Hey there", he said, approaching Tessa's table. "I remember you from the-", he hesitated and looked around. Maybe saying graveyard fight with terrorists wasn't the best idea in public. "-uh, the place."
Offline
"Oh, yeah, your name's Chris right?" Tessa nodded, recognizing the guy. She then motioned to the seat across from her. "You can sit down if you want."
Offline
"Thanks", he said, sitting in the indicated chair. "Hey, the scary girl with the knife isn't around here, is she?"
Offline
This is when Mackenzie started making a beeline for the table, chewing some shrimp as she did so.
Offline
"Mackenzie? She's, ah," Tessa looked around for a moment and her eyes landed on Mackenzie eating shrimp as she walked. Then she turned back to Chris. "She's over there, but I don't think you have to be scared of her. She was just being defensive."
Offline
Chris tensed slightly. "I hope you're right. You don't think she'd stab me in front of all these witnesses, right?"
Offline
Jayden, who's table was near Tessa's and Chris's, raised his head at their conversation. He shrugged and went back to eating his kyikar. Probably nothing important. Probably.
Offline
"Of course not!" Tessa grinned. "You'll be fine, man. Loosen up a bit, it's May 15th!" Did I come off mean? One of the napkins lifted up a little bit and whacked her lightly in the arm.
Offline
Mackenzie slid into a chair, glancing between Tessa and Chris. "Hey. How're you guys?"

"Oh, hey," Tessa smiled at Mackenzie. "Alright, you?"
Offline
"I'm, uh doing alright thanks". He took a bite of his kyikar. "Mmm. Not as spicy as I like, but you can't go wrong with all you can eat, right? It is a little cold though". Chris conjured up a small flame at his fingertip and started blowtorching the bowl.

Breach was there, with a fairly formal white suit that matched his snow colored hair.
But it was kinda odd he still carried around his sword. It was still wrapped up in a cloth and slung over his back, but, I guess just not for the occasion, yeah?
Breach noticed the others, at that table, but he didn't decide to really do anything there, yet. Maybe he should try to walk around a bit, maybe.
That's when he passed by Albert, who assumingly still had his face down in his plate, which Breach responded with prodding the other in the shoulder, "Hey, you good?"

Riven glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw his... acquaintances from the other night. He glanced back at Sarah. "S-sorry to ask you this, but could y-you please make these questions quick? I-I have to get back to my friends soon."

"How do you feel about May 15th?"
Breach might've picked up on Alfred's mumbling of quotes from The Communist Manifesto in-between his snores.
"I'm doing okay." Her eyes widened at the blowtorching. "... damn."

Ivy made her way over to the rest of the group, holding a bowl of safarbat soup. She'd abandoned her usual camo jacket and jeans in favor of a white sundress. The girl lifted her hand in a small wave. "Hey again."

"'Sup." Mackenzie lifted her chin in greeting.
